Creating a Legacy Part 1

How will time treat you? Will you be forgotten or will you rise up and do something amazing? Will your family be able to proudly say that you were related them? Or, is having a legacy all that important to you?

If you're not interested living forever, this article is not for you. If you do want to be remembered through the ages though, this article may be exactly what you need. I'll cover what a legacy is in part one and then cover how to create one in part two.

---

What is a legacy?

In lamens term, a legacy is simply what you left behind when you die. But it goes deeper than that, much deeper. It's quite literally what you lived for. Without some sort of legacy, you'll be forgotten almost as if you've never existed. Everything you ever thought or felt will be forever gone. What makes you, you, will be forgotten along with everything you ever attempted to do. You'll be casted into the ground to live eternity rotting away regretting that you hadn't done anything important.

Sure, you may not care that you left nothing behind when you are dead but I can assure you that you'll regret it while your taking your last few breaths. The prospect of dying and being forgotten haunted Steve Jobs to such an extent that he ended up creating a multi-billion dollar company that will exist for the ages to come. He had the treasure of almost dying to motivate him enough to throw his whole life into Apple. He understood the importance of a legacy.

The Three Kinds of Legacy's

Some will create a legacy doing something great while others will create a legacy doing something absolutely awful. Rockefellar donated almost all of his wealth creating hospitals, libraries, and schools in order to create a legacy while Hitler killed millions of people. A solder may die protecting his country thus creating the third kind of legacy.

Good Legacy- You'll get your sense of importance and a good legacy by doing what Rockefellar does. If you help people without expecting anything back, people will remember you for that and miss you while you're gone. You'll be in their hearts forever and shape their life.

Evil Legacy- Like Hitler, you'll get a sense of importance but be hated throughout the whole world for generations to come. You will be remembered but is it really for a good reason? Would you feel like you've achieved something great if you killed millions of innocent people? Just think of the anguish you would've caused, how terrible.

Greater than Legacy- You'll die but you'll die for your country. This one is necessarily not that bad of a legacy because you'll save everyone in the country you love. If the soldiers in WW2 hadn't risked it all to keep us safe, we may be speaking Japanese.

I'm sure that there's more ways to create a legacy but these are the main ways. But there's nothing wrong with finding another way to create your legacy! In part two, we will discuss how to create your legacy.

Self-Esteem makes CEOs part 4

Why is it that some people make such a positive mark in social situations? What do they do that will imprint them into your mind? But why is it that some people make such an negative imprint that we want to get away from them? A few key social skills could actually cause that.

Humans are social creatures and without these abilities, they'll live a lonely life. If you master your ability to communicate, you'll most defiantly improve all aspects of your life. Some people are born with these abilities while others are forced to spend hundreds of hours learning them.

Relax

The first skill that you'll need is to be able to relax in social situations. Stress and anxiety are contagious so people normally will avoid stressed out and worrisome people. If you're positive, people will tend to be positive around you. If you're confident and have a good air around you, everyone will flock to you and act confident.

If you want to be able to relax, you'll need to remain calm in a stressful situation. In order to do this, you'll need to recognize what stresses you out and attempt to calm yourself. Deep, slow breathing is useful and keeping your mind is also useful.

Listen

People who always worry tend to talk to much. The reason a stressed out person talks a lot is because they don't want to let control of the situation. It's incredibly annoying to be around a person who always talks and talks some more. If you want to be a better listener, visit my four part series about listening.

Empathy

This skill is about as rare as a 19 dollar bill. Training yourself to truly care about what someone is saying and being empathetic is the quickest way to gain friends.  Empathy is a feeling but it can be expressed with skill number four. (Expect a 3-5 part series on it soon)

Rapport

Rapport is the connection you make with someone once you share empathy with them. This is like empathy but it's the outward emotion of it. This can also be explained in my "Listening is Important to Become Famous," series.

Well, that's about it for this series for now! Let's call it quits for now and come back to it in the future when I gather more information up.

Self-Esteem makes CEOs part 3

Don't consider positive thinking for not thinking at all. Confident people always end up not thinking that they can make a mistake and shy people always end up believing that they can do nothing right. Thinking positive does not mean that you'll end up thinking that you can never fail but rather knowing what your limitations are and attempting to better the situation.

You'll find that extremely shy people will feel a self-esteem blow when someone gives them a positive comment. This will mess up their image in their mind because they won't know what to say. On call of duty, I always end up saying, "I don't want to end up on a team where I'm the best one." That can slowly destroy your opinion of yourself if you always end up kicking ass.

Rejection and criticism may be easier for you to take than praise. Whenever you do a good job, you may write it off as good luck or chance. It's safe assume that you need to get out of this comfort zone!

Certain activities may cause stress and anxiety but this completely normal. It's really just a matter of what you do about the anxiety that you feel. A good way to cast it away is to think about everything you've accomplished in your lifetime. Or you could just defeat the stressful situation in small parts at a time.

Remember that confidence is not casting away fear but working on your flaws. You don't want to end up being grandiose and thinking that everything is either 100% or nothing.

You may looks around everyday and see totally fearless people but remember that they all had uncertain moments also! They don't worry now because they've already went through the process of worry and defeated it. Instead of thinking that people are so magically gifted, think in terms of what they went through to get there. Just remember that the comments are not true and that you need to keep moving forward.

When trying to become more confident, ask yourself why you want to become confident. Ask yourself how to feel more confident and in what situations do you need more work in. Becoming more confident is a process and will not happen over night so don't try to make it!

Time for part 4 and we will discuss what skills are needed for a good social life.

Self-Esteem Makes CEOs Part 2

There's something magical in deciding to open up your own business. Taking all you have and risking it for a small chance of succeeding. You can create your own hours, leave whenever you want an vacation, and all the profits are yours.

The downside is also about as bad as the good side is good. Multiple studies show that business owners will work many more hours than the average 40 hour worker. You may get all the profits but you'll also get all of the losses and people seem to not recognize that. Most business owners will fail at least twice before finding a stable business option.

Class in these kind of situation is the ability to keep trying even when you've failed multiple times. This will take a certain amount of confidence also. The confidence that you'll succeed one day; maybe not now and maybe not tomorrow but someday. It takes a certain amount of dedication and confidence to keep training for a certain sport for hours on end in order to go pro one day.

Sure, you may not be able to become a pro in any sport, but you could be a pro in business. If you can't succeed doing one thing, switch to something new! It's not like you're surrendering, you're just trying to find something new to do.

Keep in mind, not every single dream you may have is achievable. But, when it comes from the heart, it may be worth a shot. Even then, don't expect it to happen immediately. It could take years and years to achieve but it's a matter of motivation and desire. You need to be confident that it'll happen one day! You must be able to keep moving forward even if you don't have cheerleaders on the side!

Well, here we are! Part two is over with and it's now time to move onto part three and talk about positive thinking. Bon voyage my fellow readers.

Self-Esteem Makes CEOs Part 1

Self-esteem is something magical and you'd be surprised that there's multiple versions of it. We're going to also need to take a look at self-confidence as a way to express your self-esteem. You'd be surprised that some forms of self-esteem are positive.

Confidence is important because it will affect how you act. For example, during a business meeting, the one who has the confidence is the one who is followed. The one who seems unsure of himself is the one who will not have a following. Everyone will end up believing they know more about you than they actually do.

If you end up giving off large amounts of confidences, people will believe that you are the right person to follow. It will make them feel assured that you're the right person to be behind.

In order to explain what confidence is, we need to make a clear distinction between confidence and grandiosity. Grandiosity is usually mistaken as confidence in today's day and age.

Confidence means that you're going to succeed, however, you certainly are going to try. It also means that you'll recognize your limitations without becoming overwhelmed with them. Grandiosity however, means that you have an inflation of who you are and what you can do. It makes you believe you can bench 225 lbs your first time lifting. They never plan to fail and when they do, it takes awhile to come back from it.

In part two, I'll discuss self-esteem and entrepreneurs and how it'll effect your success.

4 Reasons to Sleep More!

Sleep deprivation seems to be on epidemic levels in the 21st century. The internet keeps people up well past their appropriate "bed time." They completely fail to recognize the importance of sleep on the body and mind. They'll wake up and use caffeine as a buffer to tiredness in the morning.

According to a 2011 survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 25% of the U.S. population reports not getting enough sleep and almost 10% suffer from chronic insomnia. Of those suffering from insomnia, the majority of them will suffer from lack of memory, lack of concentration and tired. Some may even find it difficult to drive.

According to a few studies, when you have lack of sleep, you're basically drunk. It makes you a bad decision maker and a dangerous driver. When you drift off for just a second, your car will go 50-100 yards before you notice it. You could potentially save lives if you sleep just a little more.

Not getting enough sleep will also make you gain weight! The leptin in your blood drops which is what's responsible to giving you that full feeling. When the leptin levels drop, grehlin levels will rise which makes you feel hungry. Not only does your full feeling go away but your hunger will increase.

Think that's bad enough? Well, here's something funny, your prefrontal cortex is affected by lack of sleep which means you'll not only be hungrier but you'll be prone to make bad decisions! How wonderful!

Here's some more bad news, lack of sleep can cause: obesity, hypertension, heart disease, and heart attacks. It gets even worse; lack of sleep will make type 2 diabetes and colon cancer more probable.  If you don't get something physically wrong with you, you can expect to get Dementia in the future.

Also, lack of sleep drops your testosterone. Lack of testosterone will also make you stupider. Well, to me, it seems like sleep is beneficial. If you can get 8 hours of sleep a night, you should be fine! However, try to sleep in complete darkness so your body will produce melatonin that will give you dreams. If you don't get tired, you may have a low level of serotonin(5-HTP will produce serotonin)

Imagination will Create Riches part 3

Okay, so now you understand the importance of having an imagination. Now, we run into an issue, what if you don't know how to get your imagination back? You're in luck, I have actually compiled a list of things to do to get your creativity back!

Getting your Creativity Back

Journal or Draw
When you draw or write a journal, your mind works. When your minds working, you suddenly have a strange imagination you haven't had in a long time. If you decide to draw, get rid of the black and white colors and start to throw some rainbow colors in there.

Learn a New Skill
Learning a new skill will allow you to become a bit more creativity. What are some useful skills to learn? Carpentry, painting, and other creative things.

Create Something
This is similar to learning a new skill however you'll be making things. Maybe a pop can robot or something goofy like that. You may even make something that'll be worth some money!

Move your Body
Moving your body will make you feel better while making your brain a little more healthy. This is defiantly good if you live a life of a slob(you know who you are wal mart people)

Push Boundaries
By pushing boundaries of comfort, you're defiantly sure to get some creative juices going. If you're not a good artist, push the boundaries of art and become one. It'll make life a little more interesting also.

Experiment
Similar to pushing boundaries, just try something you haven't tried before. You may find something amazing while you do this, maybe try to paint with food or something silly like that.

Drugs
If narcotics are legal in your area, maybe that's all you'll need. A lot of 70s-80s bands would be high or acid when they wrote their immortal songs that we all enjoy. I know that Abe Lincoln used to kick back and smoke a joint every now and then so, if you want to try that, give it a shot.

Anime
Watch anime. I've noticed that anime has greatly increased my creativity. Of course, it may take awhile to find the write anime. A few good ones include: death note, soul eater, code geass, and one piece. If you're no fun, then you probably won't like them.

Well, that's about all of the advice I can give you to find your creative center! Keep at it and you'll eventually come up with an idea that makes you riches.... If you desire it. God speed my fellow human, god speed.

Imagination will Create Riches part 2

Ideas are the first step to riches. In order to make your ideas turn to wealth, you must act on them. Sometimes, it's best to gamble it all in order to succeed than never try to keep peace of mind. If you're not willing to leave your comfort zone, you will not become rich.

Coca Cola is a great example of this! The man who created the Coca Cola brand bought the recipe for $500 dollars, his whole saving, because he imagined it would do good! He ended up making one of the greatest brands on the entire earth!

If you just sit around and imagines stuff, of course you won't become successful! You must be willing to create a plan to make your ideas come to life! Once you know what you want, the tricky part is over, now you must create a plan to get it!

I can not help but to repeat this multiple times; imagination along with desire will equal riches beyond your wildest dreams. You must willing to risk it all in order to succeed! Also, I want it to be made clear that I'm not saying that imagination alone will make your richer or greater than your wildest dreams!

I decided that I would do part three explaining how to get your creativity back if you lose it.

Imagination will Create Riches part 1

Imagination is quite literally where all of mans ideas and thoughts come from! It's the workshop that allows you to think of ridiculous inventions and ideas! Some have said that you can create anything you imagine so imagine everything!

You're living through the best time to be imaginative! This is the era of rapid change! Before this era, things would take awhile to change but look at the world now! Cell phones, computers, networks that connect you anywhere in the world! These ideas were all quite literally imaginative ideas that were brought to life!

Man has managed to master and harness Mother Nature more during the past fifty years than our whole history combined! Whales are no match for us, we can capture them with ease! Birds are no match for us, we can kill them pretty easily! We have figured out how far the sun is from us and what it's made of using imagination for gods sake! We can put fake memories in humans now! We have jets that go a thousand miles per hour and soon will have working planes that reach thirty-thousand miles per hour! (Air Force creating the drone ATM to go that speed)

Imagination is mans only limitation! If we can imagine it, we can do it! We haven't even reached the apex of our imagination! Every year that goes by is a year that we've become more advance!

Two Types of Imagination

Synthetic Imagination

This kind of imagination will allow one to take old ideas and transform them into newer and more advance ideas! This kind of imagination does not make things up except taking old ideas and making them more advance with experiences and thought. This kind of thinking is used by inventors often because they cannot always draw up brand new ideas.

Creative Imagination

Creative imagination is what makes true investors, poets, and writers! It's the ability to produce and otherwise make a masterpiece out of nothing! The greatest writers, poets, and inventors created something out of nothing.

The creative mind will work best when you're high on energy and otherwise constantly moving. It's when your mind won't stop churning out ideas and you've finally tuned into your subconscious mind. It's like when you dream, you may hear the most beautiful music you've ever heard before.

The imaginative mind works best when you constantly use it! However, it will also only work at its best when you have a certain desire that consumes your mind.

Your synthetic and imaginative minds will slowly link together in the future as you use them more and more often. Fail to use them, expect failure. Most people are very imaginative however their mind has just been inactive for a long time! The school system rips up their imagination and tosses it into the fields if you want to be imaginative, you must use your imagination.

In part two, I will talk about how to become more imaginative(sort of) The series will be 2-3 parts long.n

Desire Makes Hero's

The richest, strongest, and fastest people on earth have one thing in common; unwavering desire to be great. But, what exactly do I mean by this? Desire is in a way like motivation but much, much stronger!

Could someone motivated by money dead lift 1,000 lbs or work a hundred hours a week for months? The difference between someone who is motivated and someone who has a strong desire to do something is simple; the one with desire will die doing what they want while the motivated person will quit.

Without the burning desire to be great, do you think Edison would have continued making terrible inventions? No! Motivation can only go so far while desire can go the whole way!

Do you think that Van Gogh was motivated or had a burning desire to be an artist? He went as far as to not eat food for a week at a time in order to pay for more paint! Of course, he was eventually driven to insanity but that should be saved for another topic.

The burning desire to do something is what separates the boys from the men! A boy wouldn't be able to go the length required to do something great! So, in your quest to become special, you must create desire! Without this desire, you'll most likely fail at anything extremely difficult!

Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man part 6

The fear of death haunts many people in many different forms. The fear of death, however, can be greatly attributed to religion. For example, the "uncivilized" heathen will fear death less than the religious fellow. For hundreds of you sands of years, man has been asking the unanswerable questions of: where am I from and where am I going to?

The intelligent "wizard" back in dark ages would answer those unknowable questions for a price. For, this is how the fear of death basically came around.

"Come inside my young one, I'll give youtube answers to where you'll end up after you die. For a price, I could potentially get you a free ride into heaven instead of facing damnation for eternity."

The average man would be terrified of a hellish eternity and would lose his ability to be rational. He'd also begin to lose interest in life and would stop being happy. The "wizard" would have gifts showered upon him while everyone else lived in fear of dying.

Even though there's only 30,000 religions in the world, it's surprising someone was able to decide which religion to join. (It's almost as if someone brainwashed them) the religious head may not be able to guarantee a safe passage into heaven, however, he can lower your chances to spend eternity in hell. Who wouldn't chose to spend a little money and time in return for a lower chance in hell?

In fact though, no one actually knows if hell or heaven exists; that leaves a large amount of error in the human brain to make things up. The fear of death is thankfully not as common as it used to be because men of science are turning the spotlight to truth instead of fairy tails. With the aid of geometry, biology, astronomy, and other sciences, people seem to be casting their fairy tails away.

The fear of death is worthless because death is inevitable. There's absolutely nothing you can do except to accept the thought of death. Quite frankly, accepting it releases a lot of pent of emotions that would have never been released before.

Once I became an atheist, things seemed to be depressing for a short while! However, after extensive thought, I one day became liberated! After a few months of thought, I truly came to love everything about this earth. It's strange. It's illogical. But it's true.

The only real sign of fear of death is constantly thinking about it. If you do become an atheist, this thought will float around in your brain for months but you'll feel a lot better when you finally accept it. I can't explain the feeling, it was wonderful! I had never once felt so relieved until I accepted death and tossed away all of my religious beliefs!

With that, the "Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man," series will be coming to an end. I want you to remember this, life is limited. Decide how you want to live your limited life and stop fearing everything! If you truly want to feel free, cast all of your fear away!

Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man part 5

The Fear of Old Age is caused by two things; the fear  of poverty and the fear of death. The old man may fear that his fellow man will steal his material stuff while he's being casted into the unknown world of death.

The fear of being ill can also contribute to the fear of being old because you have a greater chance to become ill. Also, the fact that you won't be as attractive would play an important role of having the fear to get old.

But, by far, the most common reason to fear getting old is the fact that you may become poor and forced to live on a poor farm. I mean, after all, who would want to live on a poor farm for their remaining few years?

And the lose of freedom and independence could also make one fear being old because you'll become more like a slave than anything while losing your economic freedom.

Signs and Symptoms of the Fear of Getting Old

Loss of Dexterity
As one gets older, it's believed that around the age of 40, one would begin to slip physically and mentally. Physically speaking, this is understandable to believe this. Mentally on the other hand, this is the exact opposite, it's the best years. Once you get into your 70s though, you'll begin to develop an inferiority complex.

Accepting Thoughts of Old Age
When you get older, you'll condemn yourself for getting old and you'll apologize for getting old. Just because you reach the age of 40, 50, and 60, that doesn't mean you're old.

Loss of Imagination
When you get older, your imagination will begin to fade away. Not only will your imagination fade but you'll also stop dreaming as often because your body doesn't produce a ton of melatonin while you get older.

Let's jump into the 6th part to end "Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man" series.

Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man part 4

The fear of loss love needs little explanation of its origin. Clearly, it would have came about when humans had gotten a girl and didn't want to lose her. Emotionally, the more we evolved, it would have become a stronger sense of wanting. Of course, I'm terrible at explaining this so bear with me.

The fear of loss love probably became strongest during the Stone Age when women were quite literally stolen from their homeland. The technique is a bit different now, instead of stealing by brute force, they actually bait them with the promise of riches.

Jealousy, and other similar causes such as dementia praecox grew mans fear of loss love. This fear is by far the worse because it can cause emotional and  physical damage including insanity. In "How to Win Friends and Influence People," by Dale Carnegie, I remember a story about a woman who went insane because her husband didn't like her and wouldn't have children with her. In insanity, she ended up marrying royalty and had a child everyday.

After countless decades of research, institutions have found that women suffer from fear of loss love more often then males because they can not be trusted around rival women. This is because males tend to sleep around or cheat more often, or so is the myth.

Signs and Symptoms of Fear of Loss Love

Jealousy
Suspecting that you're being cheated on even though there's no evidence to support your position. (Jealousy is a form of dementia praecox which sometimes becomes violent without the slightest cause) Most people will tend to be suspicious of everyone.

Fault Finding
Finding fault with all of your friends, family, relatives, loved ones, and business partners upon slightest provocative action.

Gambling
The habit to gamble, steal, go to loan sharks, and do dangerous things in order to supply for love ones. Also, one May go into debt to try to buy their love ones love.

Attempt to stop worrying about loss love! The figures are in your favor to avoid losing a loss love one. If you do loss a love one, let time mend your broken heart. I hope this helped! Time for part 5 over Fear of Old Age!

Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man part 3

The fear of illness has plagued humans for as long as we exist. If we're sick, we could die. If we die, we could enter the border of death. Humans don't know much about death so they'll fear that. In either event, we fear being ill because we don't want to die or get some painful disease. (Recently I have gotten over mononucleosis, god was that terrible)

About 75% of people who visit physicians for illnesses have fake illnesses that don't even exist. It's been shown that if you think about getting a certain disease, you'll get the symptoms of it without even having it! Imagine that? For centuries upon centuries, "doctors" used to sell magic that would heal patients. The funny thing is, the placebo healed a lot of them!

Isn't it wonderful how crazy the human mind is?

The terrible thing is, playing upon our fear of ill health, patent medicines have made fortune upon fortune. Of course, it shouldn't be illegal to do this, we the consumer just need to brighten up a bit.

A flu epidemic broke out in New York during the world war causing a massive scare. In a attempt to stop people from harming themselves, the mayor asked the magazines to stop reporting about the flu. The miraculous thing was, once the magazines stopped posting about the flu, the epidemic ended within a month.

A few studies found out that people could become ill upon suggestion. What did they do? When they'd interview people, they'd ask the people what ailed them. The crazy thing was, the people were healthy.. Until asked what ailed them by three people. It progressively got worst with each person asking.

Symptoms and Signs of Fear of Illness

Autosuggestion
The habit to always think you'll get sick or will end up sick after doing something. Attempting to use quack methods to heal your illnesses but end up being worse off.

Hypochondria
The habit of talking about illnesses, concentrating on illnesses, and expecting for a illness to come about after being nervous. Only positive thought can truly cure a fake illness so try to stay positive. Hypochondria is expected to cause as much damage as a real illness.

Exercise
After worrying about getting a certain disease, one may stop working out and end up becoming overweight.

Susceptibility
Fear of being ill will break down your ability to fight off a disease. This is somewhat like hypochondria and will make you get sick if you don't become positive.

Here's the list! I'm sure that you've caught the drift of the article and understand that you positivity in order to stay healthy! If positivity doesn't keep you healthy, go to the hospital. However, there's no reason to go over minor things of mind made things.

Part four will go over the topic of the Fear of Lost Love. I'm sure that you'll love that! Get the irony? Haha.m

Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man part 2

The fear of criticism made its debut sometime in the past 40,000 years but no one is exactly sure when it came along. It's speculated that it came along when women decided to wear clothes but others speculate it came along when politics became a big thing. I believe that the fear of criticism made its first appearance when man started to rapidly evolve. Either way, man has a very serious case of fear of criticism.

The fear of criticism takes on many forms but most of them are trivial to say the least. Someone may not want to drive a car from the 1970s even if the car is better than a current generation. A girl will not want to wear clothes from the 1890s because she'll fear criticism. You'll also find that people don't believe their religious stories, however, do you think that they'll admit that?

Another reason we may fear criticism is simply for survival. A few hundred years ago, if you said you didn't believe in ghosts, they'd burn you at the stake. The genes to conform got passed down compared to the non conforming genes. Even though we don't have much to fear in America or Europe for speaking out, I dare you to speak out in the Middle East about their god.

The fear of criticism robs one the drive to do something, destroys his imagination while destroying his self-reliance. Most family members think that their doing the right thing by criticizing other family members, while not understanding the harm they cause to them. They are willing to hand out their criticism in heaping amounts instead of telling their child how good they are.

Businesses who understand that planting happy thoughts instead of criticism in their employees are more productive. Parents should plant suggestive comments instead of criticism in their children's head just like a business does. You want to be more productive, right?

Symptoms or Signs of Fear of Criticism

Self-Concious
Timid during a conversation, nervousness, and awkward movements with hands, legs, face, and eyes when meeting new people. (I suffered from this really bad a few years ago)

Lack of Poise
Can't control your voice, nervousness while around others, poor memory, poor body posture.

Personality
Lacking in sticking to your guns, personal charm, and ability to discuss your opinions. You'll sidestep issues and try to avoid making people angry.

Inferiority Complex
Telling people how great you are attempting to cover up how insecure you actually are. Someone with an inferiority complex may use big words in order to act like a big shot also. They may also boost imaginary things that they've done in an attempt to appear on the surface as someone cool.

Extravagance
Spending beyond your income.

Lack of Initiative
Failure to embrace opportunities to further ones self. Fear to express ones opinion, lack of confidence, evasive answers to questions asked by higher ups, and hesitate manner and speech.

Lack of Ambition
Mental and physical laziness, lack of self-reliance, easily influenced by others, habit of criticizing, and lack of self assertion.

If you have any of these signs, the only way to cure yourself is to just change. A book that greatly helped me was, "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. About my only tip is to read the book over and over and over until everything sets in stone inside your brain. It took me months of dedication to finally break out of my awkward stage, it really depends how much you want it.

With that being said, it's safe to say we should move on to part 3 and it's a big one. Fear of Ill Health.

Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man part 1

Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man Part 1

Humans have evolved with 6 simple fears that stop us in our tracks to do something great or a bit risky: fear of criticism, fear of poverty, fear of ill health, fear of loss love, fear of old age, and the fear of death. These six major fears seemingly control all of our actions and stops us from doing something great. You'll never quite be liberated to do anything you want until you defeat all of these fears.

In this six part series, I'll go over the method to locate and eliminate the fears that you have. The easy part will be locating the fears you have, the hard part will be eliminating them so I hope you stick around to end it.

The Fear of Poverty

You must understand that there's absolutely no way to have a general consensus between poverty and riches. They both travel opposite paths so you must understand this; if you want to become rich, you must travel the path to become rich. It's not possible to travel both patches at the same time, you'll end up in poverty then.

Fear of poverty is a state of mind and nothing else! Do not get it confused and believe that it's more than that, however, it's still a very real problem even if it's just a state of mind. I consider the fear of poverty to be the most destructive and damning of the six fears.

The fear of poverty will destroy your ability to reason, kills self-reliance, destroys imagination, destroy enthusiasm, discourage incentives, makes you unable to understand your purpose, and makes self-control impossible. It goes even further to make you sleepless, miserable, and otherwise feel worthless. The sad thing is, the world has an abundance of people with the fear of poverty living a miserable life.

The fear of poverty was created because men preyed on his fellow humans economically. Most animals prey upon other animals physically but humans will prey upon each other economically because of our superior ability to think. Man is so afraid of being preyed upon economically that he's created financial safeguards just incase he is preyed upon.

In this world, unless you're rich, you're worthless. You're no more that a piece of dust that can be disposed of on a whim. But if you do acquire riches, suddenly, you turn into a big shot that knows what he's doing. In a way, you're treated as if you're a king.

It's quite understandable that man would be afraid of poverty because who wants to be a worthless piece of dust? Who would truly want to be dominated by his fellow man? A large fraction of marriages are actually motivated by economic reasons which would show why the divorce courts are so busy.

Now that we understand why fear of poverty is so bad, it's time to talk about the symptoms so that you can diagnose yourself!

Symptoms of Fear of Poverty

Indifference
Lack of drive to become rich. The acceptance of poverty and whatever compensation life gives without protest. Mental and physical laziness with the lack of imagination, enthusiasm, and self-control.

Indecision
The inability to decide what to do or chose. Staying on the fence about most things.

Doubt
Excuses designed to cover up, explain, or apologize for ones failure to do anything. It can also be envy and criticism of someone successful.

Worry
Usually expressed through finding faults of others, spending beyond what one can afford, drinking, sometimes using drugs, nervousness, lack of self-control, and lack of self-reliance.

Over-Caution
Concentrating all your time on the potential negatives of something, talking about the potential failures instead of potential successes, waiting for the right time to do something(usually forever). Lack of hygiene and normally a pessimistic.

Procrastination
Never doing something that's due soon, creating excuses to why you can't do something, willingness to compromise instead of fight. The willingness to sell your life for a penny instead of demanding the riches, happiness, and life you want. Lack of self-control and unable to rely on yourself.

In order to eliminate fear of poverty, you must demand the riches you want! You must take your life by the reins and do something drastic in order to get what you want. Remember this, if you want to do something but are hesitant, go ahead and do it but make it impossible to escape! Without the ability to make excuses up why you can't do anything, just do it! You'd be surprised what you could muster up!

I hope you'll join me in part two of, "Defeating the Six Major Fears of Man." Part two will mostly cover the fear of criticism.

Listening is Important to Become Famous Part 4

This will more than likely be the last part of the "Listening is Important to Become Famous" series. We will go over five tools to make you a better listener and more likable in general. When you read about these tools, make a conscious effort to not only think about them but to also think about how they effect you in certain situations.

Make Listening a Conscious Choice and Not a Passive One
If you're not ready to give the human across the table the same attention you give your computer screen or iPhone, tell them that this really isn't a good time to talk. If you do decide to listen to the person, give them your fullest attention.

Put your Expectations Aside
Really listening to someone is actually listening to what they say instead of filtering what they say and trying to find what you want to hear. You wouldn't try to listen to someone at a loud event so why try to listen to someone when you are not internally quiet?

Ask Questions
It's a great idea to ask three questions about the other person while offering one piece about yourself. This is especially true when you're talking to someone who is in a position of authority. You'll be surprised how often this rule is ignored if you actually pay attention to people talking.

Maintain Eye Contact
When you maintain eye contact, you'll show the person that you're actually listening to them. If you break eye contact, you'll send a wave of hostility to the speaker.

Pay Attention and Keep Paying a Attention
When you give someone your attention, make sure you keep giving them your attention. Too often you'll see that people stop paying attention about half way through. Those people may actually just walk away mid sentence, how annoying, right? It's best to summarize what you have just heard so that you'll remember what they said.

In the end though, all you need to do is show basic respect to the speaker to be a good listener. As Dale Carnegie says, "You’re listening, not judging. To the extent that you are nonjudgmental, people will be willing to talk candidly with you. And if they won’t talk candidly, they might as well not talk at all." Besides, if you want to do something kind and unselfish, listen to the person because everyone needs someone to listen to them.

Listening is Important to Become Famous Part 3

When misunderstanding occurs in the workplace, the speaker is normally blamed for not conveying the message better. But is this always the case? Why shouldn't the listener also be blamed for not understanding?

Speaking is considered a skill but isn't listening also a skill? Listening can be learned, improved, and perfected. To see how listening can be improved, we should probably go over the seven mistakes others make while listening.

Rehearsing
Rehearsing is when you look as if you're paying attention but in reality you're only thinking about what to say next. You may even go as far to think about the whole dialogue between you to.

Evaluating
If you've already prejudged the speaker as incompetent or boring, even if you're right, you've already started to create the very traits you normally would criticize.

Playing the 'Little Man' Game
The little man always needs to top the story of the one telling a story. For example, the speaker caught a fish however the little man needs to tell how he caught a even bigger fish. Most of the time, the little man can not even wait until the speaker is finished to tell his story.

Truth Telling
You solve problems quickly and efficiently, or so you've thought. All the truth teller needs to hear is a few sentences before knowing the answer, but is the truth tellers answer actually correct?

Fault finder
The fault finder normally will find the faults of the speaker believing that there is no punishment. Because of this, you'll try everything possible to appear as if you're never wrong.

Placating
This is the opposite of the fault finder because you'll never let the speaker know he's wrong. The placater will always give the speaker a positive reaction to what he says.

Derailing
The derailer will only talk about what he wants to talk about by changing the subject whenever he's given the chance. This is often done by people with a position of power changing the subject of the lower people.

Now that we know the main mistakes made when listening to others, we should be able to stop them. In part 4, I will discuss tools how to stop you form being a bad listener.

Listening is Important to Become Famous Part 2

When you listen to others, there are potentially 6 different ways you can listen to them. I have complied all 6 of these ways and how they can effect the speaker.

'Checked-Out' Listening
Checked-out listening actually means that you are not really listening to the person at all. You have this vague feeling that you're being spoken to but other than that, you don't care.

The speaker will get the vibe that you don't care from your body posture. This will annoy the speaker and make them feel as if you don't care about them.

Minimal Listening
Minimal listening is when you are a step above checked-out listening but give prefabricated responses that you think they other person will want to hear. When most people talk to their kids, this is the kind of listening that they give the child. This is also how most supervisors will talk to their disgruntled employees.

Most of the people who you speak to like this will recognize that you're not really paying that much attention to them. However, because this kind of talking is usually between a large age gap or power gap, the speaker wont tell you how mad you're making them. They are screaming for you to pay attention to them deep down!

I'm listening to you, but it's mostly about me
This may be the most common form of talking between people who are not family members or long term friends. You show interest in the conversation, however, you just want to say your side. You may not notice you're doing this until it's pointed out to you. This way of listening is dangerous because you may be listening but you are not willing to open the door of change to the opposing view.

Once you realize that you're doing this, you'll become flabbergasted how often this actually happens. The speaker may even notice your unwillingness to open up to an opposing view and get angry. Don't forget that your views are not perfect, you should experience change every now and then.

Facts Only Listening
Men tend to be more straight forward in verbal exchanges and will mostly speak from a factual standpoint. Females tend to speak from a emotional standpoint to build rapport with the person. These opposing views tend to make it harder to communicate properly between the parties.

Facts only listening is good when you're trying to get a point accords, however, facts only listening is not good when trying to make a connection with someone. You need to decide the best time to employ facts only and when not to.

Empathetic Listening
Finally, we're getting closer to the full package! This way of speaking will include sensitivity to words, proper body language, and facial features. This way of thinking will allow you to feel and see yourself in the others point of view. You're honest with your actions while at the same time showing genuine interest in understanding.

Optimal Listening
More than empathetic listening, your action oriented way of thinking will help you suggest ideas to help the other person out. You may even offer to take action yourself to help the speaker out. This doesn't mean that you're taking over the conversation, you're just helping the other person understand all of their options. More than any other way of thinking, optimal listening shows the speaker that you're focused on their issues. This way of listening will help you both build up a strong friendship.

Now that you know of all 6 ways of listening, will you strive to listen to others? Will you strive to help out the speaker and suggest potential options that will help them out? Will you build some strong friendships that will last a lifetime?

Part 3 will consist of common mistakes some make while listening to others.

Listening is Important to Become Famous Part 1

Listening, a seemingly rare trait in humans, is the missing link to become a influential figure. It seems, in my eyes at least, that humans would much rather keep quiet in a conversation until it's their turn to speak rather than listen to the other person intently.

For example, have you ever noticed that most people just react in your conversation? They show no real motivation to listen to you, just to react to what you say in a bland way.

Because listening in such an important thing, thousands of hours have been devoted to studying it. Hundreds of metaphors and philosophical messages have devoted to listening also. The core message of all of the time devoted to listening points to one thing; Sometimes, good listening is to remain silent and allow the other to talk.

Listening in the truest sense points toward the importance of body language, remaining silent, and focusing all of your energy on the speaker. Of course, it also depends on whom you are listening to. Listening to a commanding police officer is much different than listening to your 6-year old child.

In part 2, we'll go over all of the kinds of listening possible and what they mean.

Will you Say More than you've Done?

oh often do you hear your friends saying that they'll do something great? How often do they remain stagnant and actually achieve nothing at all? How often do you say that you'll do something great but end up never achieving what you set out to achieve? It seems, in my eyes at least, that the majority of people are all talk.

Now, it does make one wonder if we're going about it in the wrong way. Should we be saying that we'll do something great or let our actions speak for us? On one hand, saying that we'll do something will add peer pressure to actually do it but, on the other hand, we'll look like a twit if we fail.

Personally, I am done talking about all the 'great' things that I will 'eventually' achieve. This method seems to relieve a lot of stress while at the same time allowing me to surprise my peers with my accomplishments.

What will you do though? Will you be one of the few who do more than they say or one of the many who will say more than they'll actually do? With that said, it's important to note that saying your future plans to yourself will be motivating in its own.

Is it Worse to Never Try or Fail?

Most people will more than likely experience failure in their life at some point. However, is this failure such a terrible thing? I wonder, have you ever stopped doing something because you were worried about failing?

If you're the average, then yes, you have chickened out of doing something. More than likely though, you've actually chickened out of things more than once.

A lot of people will spend their time stumbling around in fear of failure. They may have had potential to become rich or change the world with their ideas, but instead of sharing their ideas, they held them back in fear of criticism.

Most people tend to forget that there's a direct correlation between failure and success. Most business owners have failed at starting a business or two, but did they cower down? Absolutely not. It's probably a good thing that Edison never gave up after his countless failures otherwise we'd basically be living in the dark ages.

What's the moral of this story? Don't allow failure to destroy your ambition and dreams. Because, we both know that you'll regret never trying, right?

Are Dreams Real? What Could They Mean?

Can a dream be real? Should you worry if you have a nightmarish dream? Could you meet your true love in dreams? Are your dreams possibly connected?

In a sense, a dream could possibly be real depending how you look at it. Sometimes when you wake up, a dream feels so real, what does that mean exactly? Well, if the dream caused emotional responses, it must be real, right? Of course! But it was only real in your mind, no one else's. It's like a memory, real to you and no one else.

If you have a terrifying dream, should you worry about it? Yes, you should probably worry about it. The nightmare was more than likely a sign that something isn't balanced in your waking life. For example, if you dreamt about someone breaking into your house, you probably don't feel secure in your house and you should fortify it. Basically, yes you should worry, but it should be an productive worry.

Could you meet your true love in a dream? This one is a bit more complicated so bear with my explanation. You "could" meet your true love in a dream but that true "love" only lives in your dreams,; possibly only that one dream. Unless you have amazing dream control and know how to change your dreams, I wouldn't worry about that true "love" that you met.

Are all of your dreams connected? Yes, all of your dreams "should" have something similar in them. It could be anything from a certain object all the way to a reoccurring situation. One way or another, all of your dreams are similar. If you don't believe me, keep a dream diary and record all of your dreams. You'll notice a pattern in your dreams.

What's the moral of the story? Only your dreams exist in your mind, no one else. Each dream will show you something about yourself that you hadn't known before. Embrace the dreams. Learn the dreams. You'll open up a whole new world by basically studying yourself. I wish you luck in your adventure and hope you find something new out tonight!

Things Come Back To Bite

Have you ever noticed that in this world, everything seems to come back to bite? Have you ever noticed that good intentions seem to create giant catastrophic events? Have you ever noticed that whenever something happens, there's always a event afterward?

For example, germ x, it was created with good intentions however the effect of it is turning catastrophic. Germs are starting to become super germs and eventually we will hit a point in which germs are killing in mass yet we can't seem to stop them. The same thing could be said about antibiotics also. Sure, it seemed like a good idea to pump out penicillin decades ago, but it's about to have some pretty nasty effects. Unless we can keep creating new antibiotics, you can expect almost every bacteria to be immune to antibiotics and kill off people in mass.

Here's where we run into an issue with antibiotic production, there is none. Currently, it's a better idea for companies to come up with cures for cancer than antibiotics, financially at least. Of course, if we let things run there course, you'll notice that the free market will eventually convince these companies to produce antibiotics but I have the feeling that the government will screw up the future events making it fiscally impossible for companies to produce antibiotics.

Enough about me talking about antibiotics, let's wrap this discussion up. Remember this, before doing something, think of a potential effect from it. If we all thought about the effects of our actions, I feel that we may all find that we've been doing to many negative things. Just because it sounds and looks good does not mean that it is actually a good idea or thing to do.

Leadership is a Missing Art

Leadership, a skill set sorely missing in America, has caused catastrophic events. World War 2 could be used as an example of of leadership failures or the fact that Rockefeller never had a riot while being in control of his vast amount of businesses.

In order to truly understand why leadership is, we must first understand what leadership consists of. Leadership consists of a few basic principles that few men are able to acquire on their own. Principle one is the most important; the ability to create enthusiasm for them to do what you want. Principle two is another important principle; the ability to stay positive while the going gets tough. Principle three is the last important principle that a leader has; the ability work hard.

These three principles will allow a leading business figures or politician to flourish and to become the best in their field. Not only does it allow them to become the best in their field but it will also increase their pay substantiously.

The ability to lead the masses is the only way to protect liberty and keep the world in peace. When we have strong presidents, the world for the most part will calm down and go into a stable peace. When we have weak presidents, the world will begin to spiral into chaos because our enemies know that they have nothing to fear. Major businesses will also flourish under a strong CEO compared to those who have weak CEOs that don't know how to micromanage.

Long story short, everything is better when there is a strong leader: Stock prices will soar, unemployment will drop tremendously, the world will become stabler, and average worker will get more spending money.

Keep Your Cool When Things Go Bad

Keep Your Cool When Things Go Bad

I'm sure that sometime in your life, something went bad. I mean, you're living through one of the worst political times in America. It can be said that it stems even further down because now Antibiotics are not working as efficiently and cancer is on the rise. But, is all of this stuff really that bad?

It's true, there will be tragedies during your life but make sure that you keep your cool during them. It also reigns true that you'll probably see the death of millions of people but let's keep this in perspective; sometimes it takes a tragedy to allow us on the right path.

The titanic is a great example of this! Yes, it must have been damning to realize that this indestructible ship was taken down by a simple iceberg. I mean, back when the titanic was around, it was supposed to be the god of all ships after all. But after this incident happened, instead of freaking out, the people decided to open up the International Iceberg Patrol to map out all of the icebergs. This would later create aerial and satellite recon teams cutting iceberg crashes into a fraction of what they once were.

So, instead of despairing the Democratic onslaught of freedoms, keep your cool and know that their ignorance will ignite a American revolution of ideals unlike anything ever seen before. Sure, we may lose many older folks during this period of time due to Obamacare, but at least we know that the American ideal will rein true once again. In a way, it likes when there's a massive forest fire, the new trees will grow stronger than the previous ones. The roots of freedom just need to be burned away in order to allow the new roots to grow strong.
